Here is a completely renovated hotel-restaurant in the heart of Abbadia San Salvatore, a stone’s throw from the abbey, the historic centre and the sports facilities, but also from the beauty of the mountains, the Val d’Orcia and the Maremma. A new structure, strongly desired by the entrepreneur Alessandro Massai. A simple, fresh, clean environment with attention to the smallest details, which today is renewed by incorporating the Arbolé, a historic pizzeria in Abbadia San Salvatore. To support Alessandro there are his partner Francesca, the director Domenico, and the cooks Tommaso and Giorgio.
In this regard, chef Tommaso and his father Giorgio will bring the Arbolé pizzeria back to StellAmiata. In addition to pizzas, the restaurant offers several novelties. Starting with the local cuisine, with products of the highest quality: grilled capocollo, elephant ears, a selection of high-level cold cuts and cheeses, the shrimp cocktail, an 80s dish that has recently come back into vogue.
In addition to the historic pizzas of Arbolé, such as ‘Tucano’ (spicy salami, olives, onion and porcini mushrooms), birthdays and ceremonies can be organized in the StellAmiata restaurant. It is also possible to choose between craft beers and a wide selection of wines: «over 150 labels from all over Italy: Chianti, Brunello, Nebbiolo, Amarone, in particular from Tuscany and Piedmont, but also from France (Burgundy and Champagne).
In the room there is also the possibility to watch the matches. Domenico, the new director, in addition to StellAmiata, manages a four-star hotel on the Island of Elba: “he decided to help us get the hotel off the ground – explains Alessandro, the owner – now we are waiting for the whole community”. As for services: “We have great ideas, such as equipping ourselves with electric bicycles and green means of transport to allow tourists to explore Amiata with all possible comforts in 2025; it is a mountain that we have recently discovered, and it has an impressive beauty that no one has ever valued; There is so much to discover.”
A three-star hotel with a look towards the fourth: the dining room accommodates one hundred seats, while the hotel has over twenty double rooms, and options for families, equipped with bathroom, TV, mini bar and LED light with adjustable intensity». In a few months, the area around the hotel will be completely re-evaluated: “In addition,” concludes Massai, “we are about to renovate the façade and the terrace behind it where we intend to organize aperitifs and dinners under the stars.”
