We are in Brufa, a beautiful historic village that can be reached along a panoramic ridge, until you reach a hill overlooking Perugia to the north, Assisi to the south; Sara Sensi, a native of the village, artist decorator and mother of two children, Filippo and Sophia, works in this enchanting context. We tell you about her.
Since she was a child, she has cultivated a strong passion for drawing: at the age of 16 she began her work as a decorator at a ceramics company in Deruta, where the tradition of hand-painted ceramics is strong. In the following years, as if by bet, she began to take an interest in the world of tattoos. Her dedication to work and art is very unique, precise, she leaves nothing to chance; This is also her lifestyle.
So, shortly thereafter, she enrolled in a course for tattoo artists, and on April 7, 2014 she graduated from the ‘Fashion Look Academy’ in Rome: with this certificate she began her new adventure.
Sara already has her path clear: she begins to renovate an old cellar under her home in the village of Brufa and, at the end of 2017, she inaugurates her studio!
Brufa, in addition to being on the “Wine and Art Route”, is one of the towns that hosts about thirty sculptures by international artists on permanent display: “Working in a context like this inspires me, gives me and my customers a great sense of peace!”, she tells us.
An interesting anecdote is precisely the one inherent to his brand that portrays a deer: this is the tattoo that an ancient queen of the fifth century BC had on her shoulder, whose mummy was found in the 90s on the Ukok plateau on the border between Russia and China, of which we advise you to read up.
We are interested here in describing the person who, in addition to being an artist, also has a very interesting empathic inclination; Her attention to his customers is innate and they feel so comfortable that they often become friends and sometimes confidants.
She wants to satisfy every request, with great professionalism; In fact, Sara adapts the drawings or ideas that are proposed to her to the body and physiognomy of individuals: “I decorate a body as if I were doing it with ceramics, and vice versa!”, she smiles.
Humility is one of her virtues! It is appropriate to say that Sara is ‘at the service of art’.
She has always been drawing, she is able to adapt to any type of style, from ‘Fine Line’, to ‘Dot Work’, ‘Minimal’, ‘Geometric’, ‘Maori’, etc… But her favorite is still the ‘Decorative’ one.
The peculiarity of her lifestyle makes me understand how, despite being inside the tattoo industry, Sara is one of the few tattoo artists still authentic, being able to perfectly harmonize life and artistic creation.
Although this is a job that takes up a lot of his time, Sara cannot abandon her usual job, working on the decoration of unique pieces in the world of ceramics.
She never misses the opportunity to participate in traditional events such as the ‘Infiorate’ where they needs an artistic hand like her.
Tattoo lovers, all you have to do is make an appointment with this artist and professional with a unique and unrepeatable trait.
