Also in this issue of Valley Life we find ourselves talking about a historic Perugian company, leader in the home sector: Oppiarelli Arredamenti. We would like to let you know that even in this case, company and family are inextricably linked to each other – giving added value to our economy as a ‘country’.
It all started in 1969 by Romano Oppiarelli, in the historic Tuscan carpentry shop that produced traditional furniture and then settled in Perugia in the mid-70s. Hence the corporate change that sees them go from the condition of producers to traders.
“In 1976 the new headquarters of Oppiarelli Arredamenti was already in Via Marconi”, says Fabio Oppiarelli (one of Romano’s sons), who at the age of eleven remembers having helped his mother and father to assemble the floor in the new showroom; in fact, even today, at the helm of the company are his sons, Fabio and Michele, who have always followed their parents’ passion for furniture and furnishings.
Romano and Maria’s ability to innovate and ‘see the future’ has always been an added value: from this intuition came the idea of founding a kitchen centre: in 1982 they opened, therefore, a new store in Via Gallenga (also in Perugia), which three years later became an exhibition of domestic kitchens – unique in the area. An absolutely revolutionary operation which, due to its foresight, consequently obtains great feedback and success.
At the end of the 80s (it was the year 1987 to be exact), Oppiarelli moved the headquarters again to a larger and more strategic plant, in Sant’Andrea delle Fratte: a new showroom of 2800 square meters boasts exhibitions of kitchens, living rooms, bedrooms and multi-brand furniture for the whole house.
The essence of this company is naturally the love for design, ambience and being able to follow, with the utmost professionalism, its customers, from the project to the installation.
“A professionalism, so to speak, ‘historical’, built over time, made up of conscience and knowledge”, continues Michele Oppiarelli. “A turnkey service, from interior design with dedicated, tailor-made choices, to delivery and assembly, thanks to the work of valid and reliable collaborators – as well as a qualified assembly team,” he points out.
An interior design service, therefore, which starts from the inspections and ranges from the distribution of the rooms to the layout of the systems, also defining, with versatility, the ‘predispositions’ for renovations – without forgetting after-sales assistance.
The main market is in Umbria, but not exclusively: they tell us about recent and current work experiences abroad, with deliveries of complete furnishings for apartments and residences in places such as Barcelona, or in Holland and Denmark!
In 2020, Oppiarelli Arredamenti became an official point of Lube Cucine, consolidating its leadership in a sector that is constantly being updated functionally, technologically and stylistically.
