Maintenance, green care, road construction, and much more. This is GeoAmiata: professional management for municipalities, mountain communities and provinces.
“We were born in 2013 – says Paolo Tondi, one of the creators – we started with Andrea Tondi, Daniele Coppi, and the one who became the administrator Duccio Azzolini. We mainly deal with maintenance for public administrations; works of all kinds, thanks to about thirty brand new and high-performance machines”. And among the works: “firefighting for soil protection, cleaning ditches for reclamation, pruning, care of greenery and parks, construction of roads, squares, fences, naturalistic engineering, guardians in companies and cleaning… We are a kind of 118 for the municipalities.
“Public administrations, certainly, but not only: “We collaborate with the main companies in the area, such as Enel Green Power, Floramiata, Rivart, SienAmbiente, Saviola Group and numerous handbag factories, but also institutions and museums, such as the Mining Museum Park and the Siele Mines, in Piancastagnaio, where we are engaged in the renovation of dryers and old ovens, as well as the arrangement and maintenance of greenery and internal parts. We work,” Tondi continues, “above all for public administrations and the Unions of Municipalities, in particular Amiata Val d’Orcia, Amiata Grossetana and Monte Cetona.”
And for the often-complex activities, there is certainly no shortage of the most suitable and latest generation vehicles: “We use excavators of all kinds, tractors, mini-loaders… The fleet of machines is large and brand new.” Cold and warm weather: “for the snow we have all the possible means, shovels and snow plunders, but we also provide an important fire-fighting service thanks to our pick-ups equipped with modules to extinguish fires”. Again: “we fix the rural roads and the cemented roads on the farms, such as a road in Casa del Corto, a ring, where previously it was all dirt and after the castings it changed and today it is totally passable – it is a project of the municipality of Piancastagnaio with the contribution of the Tuscany Region”.
GeoAmiata can count on numerous professionals: “There are twenty-four of us, in 2013 we were just a dozen, we have doubled. We are engaged on both sides of the Amiata, but not only, if necessary, we arrive in the Viterbo area and even beyond». Among the works carried out, as always in a workmanlike manner, there is the brand-new horse track of Piancastagnaio, fences, seats and grandstands: “we have created a real amphitheatre – concludes Tondi – an important job appreciated by everyone (see photo). Our works are always certified and carried out in a workmanlike manner, in twelve years we have never had a dispute.”
