Commerciale Lorini srl is a company based in Borgo San Lorenzo that deals with the trade and wholesale distribution of food products. In addition to distributing national brands of primary importance in the food sector, it is the distributor of Centrale del Latte /MUKKI for the territory of Mugello, Alto Mugello, Val di Sieve.
The history of this company begins a long time ago: it began in the 50s with the sign BURRIFICIO MUGELLANO. A small artisan business that deals with the production of butter, which is distributed in the province of Florence, especially in the capital. Over time, the production of butter was accompanied by the marketing of other food products and in the 70s the production ceased completely to devote itself exclusively to the wholesale marketing of a wide range of food products and in the 80s the collaboration with the Centrale del Latte in Florence began, a collaboration that continues today, even after the transfer of ownership and the privatization of the Centrale del Latte.
In the 80s it was therefore decided to change the name of the company, which became Commerciale Lorini srl.
The name is a synthesis: you declare your business (Commercial) flanked by the name of the family. Belonging to the family is the important bond that characterizes the people who lead the company’s business with passion and dedication, which today believes it is a point of reference in the area.
The leadership of the company has remained within the same family: from the founder Luigi Lorini it has passed to his children Andrea and Maria. After 2005, his son-in-law Mauro was added, bringing into the company the entrepreneurial expertise gained during experiences in important companies in various different product sectors. Then came the third generation with Lorenzo and Guglielmo.
The choice of companies and products handled is made with competence and attention in order to guarantee its customers a wide choice of products. Not only products but also an attentive and punctual service for groceries, delicatessens, restaurants, bars, pastry shops.
A few years ago, the idea was gaining ground that food distribution would pass entirely into the hands of large-scale retailers. Instead, time is showing that there is still room for those who know how to stand out. Delicatessens and other small retail businesses that choose their products carefully and know how to respond to consumer demands are able to maintain their living space. Commerciale Lorini is at their side and offers service and quality. Precisely because of its experience in the sector and its role in the Mugello area, Commerciale Lorini was invited to participate in a round table that took place recently at the Municipality of Barberino di Mugello, entitled “Let’s feed Tuscany – Short supply chains: economic, environmental and social effects”.
