In the green heart of Italy, we couldn’t help but stop to talk about one of the companies that today stands out in the world of plant nursery. Along the Via Perugina entering Gubbio, the ‘Garden’ is an Agricultural Cooperative Society that, since the 90s, when Luciana, Marco and Francesco decided to renovate an existing nursery following the new European trends in gardening, has experienced a real growth in a period in which that ‘culture’ was conquering northern Europe and also northern Italy. The fulcrum of the company is a modern Garden Centre of 600 square meters, flanked by a nursery that extends for 5000 square meters.

In these twenty-five years of growth, the company has achieved excellent quality standards; Customers often come from nearby regions for the wide range of products to buy! The Garden Centre is mainly managed by Francesco and Luciana and what makes this nursery special is certainly the assortment that they wisely select by researching new markets and among the most original products. Various services are also offered here such as the rental of plants, structures and accessories, as well as the care and maintenance of ornamental plants. There is even a section dedicated to bonsai that have a different and specialized maintenance.

If you need advice on everything related to your plants, from diseases to ideas for flower beds or balconies, you can count on comprehensive consultations directly in the store, where they help you find the best aesthetic combinations, smart solutions for plants, advice on convenient choices and support in creating programs to take care of your green spaces. In the nursery you will also find many modern ideas for borders, decorative spools and mulches and structures for floral arrangements for any type of event or ceremony.

But the real evolution of this company over the years has been the ArteVerde Giardini division, which is dedicated to the design and maintenance of truly extraordinary private and public green spaces. With the use of both traditional and innovative techniques and a super-professional approach, Marco Ferranti, an expert agricultural expert, coordinates a group of seven people to create the garden of desires.

The work begins with the design phase, which is carried out in collaboration with a trusted agronomist and, often, with the landscape architect indicated by the client, who mainly deals with the aesthetic aspect. In the next phase, we move on to the selection of plants, which takes place according to certain criteria, including the type of soil and the climatic characteristics of the area. Here the soil is very clayey and the climate is harsh in winter but hot in summer; Therefore, it is necessary to adopt appropriate techniques for planting, drainage and the choice of the most suitable species by implementing intelligent solutions for the systems, advising on convenient choices and supporting with the creation of suitable maintenance programs.

Today the work of the Gardens division is not limited only to the Gubbio area but also extends to the neighbouring areas: from Tuscany to the Marche to northern Lazio and of course all the rest of Umbria. For the future of the Garden, the goal set is to increase the volume of work, also to give continuity to the workers and have a greater number of projects to be carried out in this sector and implementing new innovative and sustainable methods.

The concept of the Garden is really designed for all lovers of greenery at 360 °: it accompanies you in the purchase of plants and flowers and the choice of decorative objects, takes care of the preparations for each type of event and creates the restyling for the outdoor spaces of your home, with a team of seventeen employees ready to respond to any need, proposing creative ideas and tailor-made solutions. And while you walk among the plants of the nursery you dream of your green corner; But this is a dream come true!
