With a history of forty years, the company of Crispolto Sorbo, leader in the transport sector, has its roots about forty years ago in Bastia, following in the footsteps of his father Mario who, with his sole proprietorship, at the beginning of the 70s had taken care of the regional and extra-regional transport of cereals for third parties; at the age of only twenty-one, Crispolto purchased the truck to meet the growing demand of the local market.

The company we now know begins its journey in the words of Crispolto’s wife, Barbara. She tells us how this lifelong adventure has been challenging and compelling. The first headquarters was born within the walls of the home, where the administration and logistics operated, between a room of only 15 square meters and a large square; Their ‘knowing how to do their job well’ had created efficiency and competitiveness in the sector over time, allowing them to significantly expand their commissions. We went from a truck to thirty specimens and from the bedroom to the annex!

An important date is that of the foundation of the company (2002) of Sorbo Autotrasporti srl.

The collaboration with prestigious brands that have made the history of Umbrian industry and entrepreneurship, such as Mignini and Petrini Spa, Nuovo Molino in Assisi (Grigi Cereali) and the Molitura Umbra, then allowed the company to move on to the transport of other ‘materials’ such as grains for the livestock sector, in addition to cereals; in the wake of this initiative, they began to acquire countless certifications that made them obtain authorizations for special transport such as that of non-hazardous waste (Cat.4), as well as scrap and coils and inert materials.

You should know that each type of material needs a specific type of means of transport. In fact, the fleet of heavy vehicles is equipped for all errands: there are tippers, trucks, semi-trailers.

We can therefore say that Sorbo Autotrasporti is an integrated part of a supply chain that ranges in various areas throughout Italy with important orders, such as that of “Paoletti Ecologica” or other giants such as the ‘Terni Steelworks’, with main sortings starting from the Port of Ravenna.

Their service is also administrative which involves assistance in handling all the paperwork both nationally and internationally.

The company grew, and in 2018 they moved to what is now their headquarters, on the Torgianese road, inaugurating it the following year; Together with his sons Matteo and Tommaso, the family business now has eight employees and a hundred drivers and workers. And a fleet of one hundred vehicles!

A great pride for this region of ours.
